The Bionicle Rescue Universe is the universe in which the Bionicle Rescue series take place. It is a unique universe within the omniverse.
History[]
The Great Spirit robot was created by the Great Beings and was sent to space from the planet Spherus Magna. At the beginning, while the Universe was being formed inside the robot, the whole population lived in Karda Nui. By this time, most of them wore no mask. Makuta Teridax was created by Mata Nui to ensure the population would be safe and assist Cerdad in the task he was given by the Great Beings, but he wasn't aware of his mission and quickly turned evil, just like Cerdad, whom he didn"t recognize. He created the Makuta and formed a huge army to take over Karda Nui. A war ensued, during which Teridax banished the betraying Cerdad to another dimension and the Origin Beings were sent to stop him, which they managed to do.
After the war, the population moved to the Universe and started living in it. They were followed by he Brotherhood of Makuta and the Bionicle Rescue guild was vcreated to act as the official protectors of the Universe.
Geography[]
Not much is known about this universe's geography. It is known though that the story takes place in the Matoran Universe, which is itself contained in the Mata Nui robot, though it is pretty different: within this Matoran Universe are two main continents, the Northern Continent and Southern Continent. Islands like Metru Nui, Xia are part of these continents. It is important to notice that the island of Mata Nui also exists within this universe.
The location of the robot is unknown. Planets like Spherus Magna also exist, and it is possible to access them from the robot.
Context[]
The Matoran Universe contains almost all the characters who appeared in the main universe, including beings coming from Spherus Magna. The timeline is not the same that in the main universe, and thus different versions of the same character can be met ; all the versions of Toa Tahu are members of the Bionicle Rescue guild. Every being inhabiting this Universe is created the way they appear in the series; for instance, Toa were created as Toa even though they were created as Matoran in the canon reality. This doesn't prevent them from having Matoran versions of themselves; thus, there are at least two versions of Takanuva and one version of Takua.
This universe is one of many and communicates with other dimensions. It notably communicates with the main Universe and a Hero Factory universe that shares a similar characteristic of combining characters from different times.
In this universe, romantic love is hinted at, though rarely. It is supposedly exceptional.
