The Elemental Energy ( or E2 for short) Pistol is a firearm, designed to channel one's Elemental power into concentrated blasts.
History[]
It is believed to have been designed by the same being responsible for the E2 Shotgun. It isn't as common as its bulkier predecessor, and has been reported to be wielded by Order of Mata Nui agents. A few other beings also have access to these weapons. It is unknown if they are still being produced after the destruction of the Great Spirit Robot.
Functionality[]
The E2 Pistol is semi-automatic, allowing multiple shots to be fired in a short time. However, the gun will overheat if used too often, and will need a few seconds to cool down before it can fire again. Another drawback is that it requires Elemental Energy to fire, so certain species (such as Matoran or Vortixx) won’t be able to use it.
It also isn't designed to hold conventional bullets. However, one can create a sort of "makeshift bullet" if they convert their Elemental Energy into the substance of their power. For example, A being of Iron could create "bullets" made of metal, or those of Stone can produce pebbles to act as projectiles. It can also be used to channel one's Elemental power like any regular tool.
As a pistol, it is best used at long-to-medium range (though it can be fatal if used up close to an enemy). It is also easier to conceal than its larger cousin, and can be "holstered" to the outside of one's armor via magnetism. As an energy weapon, its highly effective towards organic material (though not as effective toward inorganic substances). Its butt is also one of the more armored places, making it useful as a makeshift melee/blunt weapon.
