The essences are super powered beings that enjoy the negative things of the world. They used a dying toa who turned into the Elemental Lord of Plasma in their attempt at regaining all their power. Although they didn't regain it all, they received enough to return to their physical forms.
Brief History[]
The essences were created from residue of the formation of the universe, they were trapped in lockets to make their they would never become release, being handed off to species all around the universe who had enough will power to suppress the beckoning the essences constantly gave to be released. Once the bearers died and given to descendants they all waited for one with very few will power to take over them, killing them in the process to be free from their cage. But they needed a single host to feed off of to become their true selves, settling for a Elemental Lord of Plasma who was once a toa.
Feeding off the ELoP they plotted to cause havoc among the universe and it's respected dimensions, until their was nothing left, including the essences.
Abilities and Traits[]
The essences were greedy for self satisfaction, with the Essence of Apathy just following along. They had indescribable power over their respected element, with the Essence of Monsters being the most powerful. Even with the few power they have now, they still were strong enough to bring down universe, although not at an instant.
