The RV Horizon Breaker ("Research Vessel Horizon Breaker") was a Leskya Nuian sea vessel originally intended for exploration. It was then used by the survivors of the island to travel the seas of the Matoran Universe.
History[]
Early History[]
Long before Leskya Nui became involved in a war with Makuta Antharahk, the leaders of the island began the funding, planning, and preparation of multiple expeditions to various islands in the Matoran Universe. Sea vessels began construction, each supervised by a Toa of the island. Toa of Psionics Nohri supervised the construction of one ship called the Horizon Breaker, and the ship became associated with her. Many Matoran helped in its construction, including Shensii.
Before the expeditions went, with permission from Teridax and under the administration of the Brotherhood of Makuta, Makuta Antharahk mysteriously led an attack against the island, and its inhabitants made the choice to retaliate. Funding was put into the freshly-started War of Pestilence rather than the expedition, and after two weeks of intense combat, all hopes of expeditions were lost.
Destruction of Leskya Nui[]
Antharahk was given experimental weapons nicknamed "Incendiaries" by the Brotherhood of Makuta and was allowed to use them in his own war for testing purposes. Originally meant to destroy villages, the weapon decimated the large island and only left a little over twenty of its Matoran inhabitants and two surviving Toa, Vandir and Hatar. All of the known survivors boarded the Horizon Breaker and escaped the island to avoid the absurd temperatures.
The survivors spent decades at sea, attempting to find a suitable island to inhabit. Many found the nearby islands to be too dangerous and lacking inedible food and drinkable water.
The survivors then arrived on the shore of Powai Nui, and after discovering an abundance of habitable land and edible food they decided to begin colonization. The Horizon Breaker was left anchored at the shore the arrived on.
After a conflict with the natives, Vandir and Merdana decided to leave the island on the ship, and they left with a group of Matoran who did not want to live on Powai Nui.
Description[]
The Horizon Breaker has several rooms, most of which were originally outfitted for research. After the destruction of Leskya Nui many of the rooms were used for other purposes. So far it is known that there are enough sleeping areas to house over twenty crew members and an infirmary.

- The main deck of the ship has an engraving depicting a flower of an unknown species and the letters "RV: HB", which stand for the ship's title and name.
