The Kanohi Ilyla is the Mask of Memories. It is considered an immoral mask, and it is classified as a Psionics power.
The Kanohi Ilyla allows the wearer to read the memories of others (not conscious thoughts) and even permits them to 'hide' memories stopping other beings or the target themselves from recalling them. In some cases, memories have even been stolen and transferred to the wearer’s memory.
History[]
As society within the Matoran Universe blossomed and expanded following the Great Spirit Robot's launch, mask makers across the universe honed and refined their skills and began to craft new designs. These masks were not neccessarily as directly relevant to the maintenance of the Great Spirit, but served some now-lost purpose within the newly born civilization.
The Kanohi Dehkua was one such mask. It was created by members of a cult devoted to a darker vision of the Great Beings and their intents. The mask was created to infiltrate the minds of archivists and historians throughout the universe, in an effort to prove that their visions were true.

- The Kanohi Ilyla was created by Ihu for The Legacy Chronicles. However he chose to reorganise its description and powers for BIONICLE Generations, first appearing in the Kanohi Guidebook released on April 3rd 2020.
