Kalzaan is an Ectosian, a former Dark Hunter and currently a powerful crime lord.
Biography[]
Like all Ectosians, Kalzaan was accidentally created by the Great Beings in their efforts to create the Krana, coming into existence when the leftover material was exposed to Energized Protodermis. Shunned and feared as monsters, Ectosians were forced to retreat to the shadowy land of Dreadza, though Kalzaan eventually left the land.
Kalzaan was one of the very first to join the Dark Hunters. While effective, he was tossed out of the hunters for stealing from them. Normally, any hunter that stole from The Shadowed One would be killed; however, Kalzaan had connections to several other crime lords who could cause problems for the Dark Hunters. Because of this, The Shadowed One simply allowed Kalzaan to leave.
After a few centuries of under-handed deeds, shady businesses deals, and threatening others, Kalzaan created a powerful crime empire that is mainly focused in and around the lands just north of the southern islands of the Matoran Universe. On some occasions, Kalzaan hired the Zeverek bounty hunter Skorr to do his dirty work.
He currently resides on a island in the center of his criminal empire.
Abilities & Traits[]
Kalzaan is greedy, malicious, pragmatic, and adept at bending others to his will. He is also prideful, and he collects things like trophies and trinkets as reminders of his power. He also enjoys cruelty, in the form of torture, executions, and subjugation. He does this for enjoyment, as well as for practical purposes of logistics and need.
Other than great strength and durability, Kalzaan possess ghost-like abilities, such as the power to alter his density, allowing him to pass through solid matter. Kalzaan can also become invisible, and possess hieghtened mental abilities, such as telepathy and telekinesis. Kalzaan is also capable of firing blasts of plasma energy from the crystal-like organ in his chest, though doing so will severely drain him.

Kalzaan possesses razor-sharp claws, powerful legs, and a scorpion-like tail that can deliver a powerful venom.
Trivia[]
- Kazlaan's character was inspired by the Star Wars' crime lord character Jabba the Hutt.
- Although his race was initially unknown, Kalzaan was later made an Ectosian based upon his similarities to another of Toa Hydros' later MOCs, an Ectosian bounty hunter named Krulex.
