Not much is known about Kodix during his early life, but it is known that he and Taram went to Karda Nui to assist Ihly, Rokkan, Ohlor, and Darjal in fighting Makuta Xidok.
[edit] Karda Nui
When Kodix and Taram arrived in Karda Nui, they were approached by a wounded Av Matoran, who requested their help in healing him. Toa Ihly, seeing them with the wounded Av Matoran, used her healing powers on the Av Matoran, who, in favor of them helping him, volenteered to assist them in fighting Xidok and his Makuta allies. Kodix, Ihly, Taram, and the Av Matoran then came under attack from Makuta Desorak, a friend of Xidok's. Although the Makuta was outnumbered, he managed to defeat them. Just as Desorak was about to kill them, a Brulax named Vinmacks teleported Desorak elsewhere. Vinmacks then explained that he was here to assist them, under orders from the Order of Mata Nui. The group then saw Makuta Mutran unleash a massive Shadow Blast, and the remaining Makuta (Minus Icarax and Mutran) escape to the swamp below. Kodix and his group then approached the Toa Nuva while questioning Mutran, and offered tom assist them in fighting the many powerful Makuta. They arrived just in time to save the other three Toa Nuva from Antroz, and began fighting against the Makuta. While fighting, Kodix was attacked by Chirox, and was almost killed by his magnetism power. Although Kodix was outmatched by him, he was putting up a fight against him. Chirox then retreated due to orders from Antroz to attack Takanuva. The Toa Nuva then entered the Codrex, which left Kodix and his small team to fend off the Makuta. During the battle, Vinmacks was killed by Gorast, who used her Felnas to make Vinmacks's dimensional gate power to go out of control, splitting him into hundreds of pieces sent to different dimensions. Kodix then saw Makuta Icarax trying to crush the Codrex, and attempted to stop him, only to be thrown into the swamp by him. Kodix, however, didn't give up, and went after Icarax. Hearing battle sounds, Kodix saw Icarax battling Gorast and Vamprah. Mutran then arrived, who sent telepathic nonsenser to Icvarax's head, and Gorast and Vamprah spread his atoms all over the unviverse. He then saw Xidok retreat out of Karda Nui, and gathered his team to follow him.

When Kodix and Taram purchased some weapons from Xia, they were attacked and almost killed by Xidok. He was about to finish them off when Ihly, Rokkan, Ohlor and Darjal arrived. Xidok knew he could not win against six Toa, so he retreated. The six Toa later formed a Toa Team which they called "The Toa Backa". the six Toa later agreed to meet on the Southern Continent. When Kodix got there he fought a mutant Rahi. He defeated the Rahi, and later found Taram under a pile of rocks. he got Taram out, and they both split up to find the other Toa. Kodix was later captured by Madrax and Foros. After Kodix woke up, he found himself unarmed and in a chamber of Makuta Xidok's lair, but he escaped using his Volitak.
[edit] Abilities & Traits
As a Toa of Fire, Kodix can create, control and absorb fire. Kodix is a skilled swordsman, and is also very accurate, able to shoot a targey over a mile away. He also has excellent eyesight, which helps him in a ranging situation. Kodix usually uses his two Protosteel swords instead of his Midak Skyblaster, the reason for this is unknown. He is also a veteran in combat. As a Matoran, Kodix was a askilled mask maker, and could forge great Kanohi by using Element Crystals, crystals that are only found on Kiffax. He is a brave leader, but very difficult situations can force him to retreat.

Kodix wears a Kanohi Volitak, Mask of Stealth. He wields two Protosteel swords, which can be used to channel his fire powers. He also wields a Midak Skyblaster.
