Toa Korrek is the last remaining member of the Toa Galathei.
History[]
Korrek was originally a Matoran in the domed city of Galathei Nui, until he was chosen by the local Turaga to become a Toa, and a member of the Toa Galathei. If anything threatened the Matoran, he and his comrades would see to it that the violence was stopped. At some point in his career, he and a Toa of Iron stopped a pack of Muakas from destroyed Fe-Galath.
When the Vorgaan invaded, Korrek teamed up with his fellow Toa in raising Galathei Nui to the planet's surface, in order to stop a flood. Shortly after, the rest of his team were killed by Vorgaan, whose spacecrafts had been destroyed, leaving Korrek to wage war against the invaders alone. Over time, he managed to increase his elemental powers somehow, allowing him to fend off the army, fighting to a stalemate.
It is believed that Korrek somehow used the 'mystical' staff of the eldest of Galathei Nui's Turaga to bring Toa Ancratahka to the island, as a means of finally ending the war. Soon after, Korrek encountered the recently-arrived Toa of Infinity and brought him back to the village to introduce him to the Turaga.
Though grateful for Ancratahka's arrival, the Turaga was angry that Korrek had not consulted him first. The Turaga tells Ancratahka the history of the island, and information about the other Toa. However, Ancratahka was displeased with the fact that he was only being seen as a weapon, and left the Matoran fortress to go into the wilds of Bo-Galath. Korrek tried to follow him, but Ancratahka had run into Vorgaan territory, and Korrek couldn't risk following him there in the middle of the night and leaving the Matoran unprotected.
Abilities and Traits[]
As a Toa of Stone, Korrek can control the element of stone. Somehow, he was able to amplify his elemental abilities and is the most powerful Toa of Stone that is not a Toa Nuva.
Mask and Tools[]
Korrek wears a Kanohi Komau, the Great Mask of Mind Control, and he carries two Stone Hooks, which allow him to scale stone slopes with relative ease. He used to have access to a Toa Suva, but it was destroyed by Vorgaan early in the war.
Trivia[]
- Korrek is on the same power level as a Toa Nuva, possibly even more powerful, whilst not being a Toa Nuva himself.
- His means of amplifying his elemental powers is believed by the Turaga to have been a crystal similar to the Nui Stone.
