Kranua-Zya were prototype Vahki made as an improvement on the original Kranua model.
History[]
The Kranua-Zya were an experimental, specialized Vahki model designed out of jealousy by the fledgling engineer, Geruu. The Kranua-Zya were made to be even more efficient at tracking down criminals and better suited to deal with them. Aside from law enforcement, the Kranua-Zya were built with a "lethal" mode so that they can also protect the Metru Nui from hostile threats and attacks.
Unfortunately, on the day of unveiling his new creation, the "lethal" mode was accidentally set and the Kranua-Zya malfunctioned, injuring many innocent spectators. Geruu was stripped of his engineering degrees and was imprisoned for several years. The remaining Kranua-Zya that were manufactured in advance because Geruu was sure they would be a resounding success, were locked away underground.
When the Great Spirit Robot was incapacitated and its head destroyed, it is unknown what happened the Kranua-Zya.
Weapons & Abilities[]
The Kranua-Zya were built to be much more deadly and efficient at their jobs compared to the original Kranua and Vahki models. As such, the Kranua-Zya come with a plethora of weapons. The deadliness of these weapons would be regulated through a "lethal" mode setting that would regulate how a Kranua-Zya acted in the current situation. On their backs were a Stun Turret that would shoot small tasers on "non-lethal" mode and lasers on "lethal" mode. On their main arms they wielded Staffs of Paralysis that could restrain the opposition from afar by causing temporary electric bonds to ensnare and trip. Lastly, on their lower arms were two Shock Blades that could short-circuit units.
Like the original Kranua before them, Kranua-Zya could turn into sand to help it go through small cracks and crevices and reform on the other side. This was a much needed ability due to the Kranua-Zya impressive size, even dwarfing the original Kranua.
