The Mask of Intangibility was a Kanohi that allowed the bearer to lower their density and pass through barriers, phasing their particles through opposing physical matter.

History[]

The Mask of Intangibility traces its origins back to some of the earliest mask-making techniques adopted on Spherus Magna, where an unclear number of Masks of Intangibility were created for the Matoran populace. At this point in the history of the Matoran Universe, the Kanohi became heavily associated with Fe-Matoran, who held the mask up as a symbol of their elemental discipline.

Over the 100,000 year span of the Matoran Universe's functionality, the Mask of Intangibility became a somewhat uncommon Kanohi.

In Metru Nui, Masks of Intangibility could be crafted with relative ease using Poison Removal, Enlarge, and Shrink Kanoka disks, usually originating from Le-Metru. Requiring specific Kanoka disks to manufacture, the Kanohi was a typically uncommon mask in Metru Nui, with only a handful of Mask Makers willing to craft it.

Most notably, Toa Tuyet was also known to have worn a Mask of Intangibility whilst serving as a Toa Mangai.

Powers[]

Great[]

The Great Mask of Intangibility enabled the bearer to decrease their composition to a density of their choosing, empowering them to phase through most forms of physical matter, including Protosteel. In this form, the user was able to ignore most attacks, ranging from Elemental Energy to fluctuations in Gravity.

Noble[]

The Noble Mask of Intangibility permitted the bearer brief stints of low-density, though was susceptible to certain materials and types of Elemental Energy.
