As a Ko-Matoran, Navahko’s eyes and heartlight were light azure, and he wore white, grey, and crystal blue armor. Upon becoming a Supervisor for the KCO, parts of his armor were painted gold, as per protocol.

His transformation into a Toa took this KCO gold and spread it throughout his armor, making it very apparent. His Great Waiya developed a breathing tube-like apparatus connected to his back.

After formally leaving the KCO, Navahko had his armor modified. The gold of his former rank was replaced with silver, and he donned a white waist coat. He notably took inspiration from his mentor Tesudin, having similar chest and shoulder armor. Although he'd grown out of his fear of his Waiya, he disliked its appearance and had it reforged, resembling a modified Volitak.

Powers and Equipment[]

As a Ko-Matoran, Navahko possessed inactive Ice powers, which made him more tolerant of cold temperatures, but less tolerant of warmth. When he became a Toa, he gained full access to these these powers, allowing him to create, manipulate, and absorb ice. Using these powers, he could create large constructs of ice and snow, absorb heat, freeze water, and summon cold weather.

Navahko wore a Great Kanohi Waiya, the Mask of Attraction, which allowed him to generate an immense pull between him and other objects.

Initially, he wielded a simple Frost Spear as his Toa tool. After being trained in archery by Tesudin, he had Detras forge him a bladed, metal bow which he named Névé, and discarded the spear.

Although not a master archer, Navahko’s real power came from his weapon’s versatility, in conjunction with both his elemental and Kanohi powers. As he generated arrows of ice, he had virtually limitless ammo, and could also shape the arrows and maneuver them midair. By charging metal arrowheads with Elemental energy, he could also channel his powers through the arrows as they flew or when they landed. Using his mask, he could also pull himself towards an arrow, propelling himself in its direction.

Personality and Traits[]

Navahko was honest, warm, and compassionate, flying the face of the general nature of Ko-Matoran. His emotional maturity made him the best candidate for being the emotional core of his team, in addition to its leader. After bonding with her over their shared closeness to Tesudin, Navahko made Salve his deputy.

Having spent so much time as a pencil-pusher, Navahko's immediate anxiety after becoming a Toa was over his lack of practical skill compared to his teammates. Although he knew he was somewhat intelligent, he failed to recognize usefulness of this action. This, combined with his dissatisfaction with his time at the KCO, fatigued him. He felt like he did what he did out of necessity for others rather than of his own volition.

Trivia[]

  • In an earlier version of The Feral Plains, Navahko would not have been the first Toa Powai of Ice. Instead, a Toa of Ice named Arvos would have been transformed along with the other five members but would have died soon after. Navahko then would have taken his place. The name Arvos was then given to a Ta-Matoran character.
