|Location||In a cave underneath Nortre Nui on a cliff between a stalactite and stalagmite|
|Size||Includes the Hub,Northern Phoenia,Southern Phoenia,various burrows|
Phoenia Nui was originally discovered by Nortre, the spirit that created Nortre Nui, but he abandoned it since the area seemed unstable.Later, a team of Toa, the Toa Phoenia, rediscovered it and built a city on the large cliff. They brought some Matoran with them and named the city "Stalagia", which meant in the Matoran language,"City of Stilts". The Toa each got their own region,or burrow,and named it. Two burrows went unclaimed and were simply called Northern and Southern Stalagia. The Toa later vanished without a trace, and the Matoran later named the city "Phoenia Nui" in honor of the great Toa team.Northern and Southern Stalagia became Northern and Southern Phoenia, yet the other burrows' names were kept. The cliff on which 10 of the burrows were located on became known as "The Hub" since it looked like a large wheel.
The Dark Times
When the Dark Times occurred,Phoenia Nui nearly got completely flooded.This resulted in some of this overflow water leaking into Nortre Nui,making the River Causs nearly reverse.The matoran were scared for their lives.When the Nui Orbs were created and the effects of the World Schism subsided,the matoran named the sea below them the "Abyssal Sea" since it seemed nearly bottomless.
The Great Cataclysm
When the Great Cataclysm occurred, the same thing happened, making the River Cause nearly reverse again. The city was devastated once more, and this time it drove all the matoran from Southern Phoenia. When the cataclysm subsided, they didn't go back.
- The symbol for Phoenia Nui is a blue Pakari.
- It is believed that the Toa on the team that founded Phoenia Nui all wore a Pakari. This is why the symbol is one.
- It is currently impossible to access Phoenia Nui due to Notre Nui being destroyed.
