Robots are machines designed by the inhabitants of the Matoran Universe. Robots were built on many different islands including, Spherus Magna, Artakha, Metru Nui, Archosa, and Xia. They were designed for many different purposes such as guarding and law-enforcement. On Metru Nui, the Onu-Matoran, Nuparu designed the Vahki, the Kralhi, the Kranua, and the Kraahu. On Artakha, the island's ruler made a series of robots called Maxilos and gave them to the Order of Mata Nui for the purpose of guarding the pit. Many robots are also built on Xia and distributed to many different factions in the Matoran Universe.
On Spherus Magna, the Great Beings built the roughly forty million feet tall robot, Mata Nui, for the purpose of exploring and protecting the cosmos. He was built with many unique and advanced systems, including a camouflage system that instantly engages whenever he lands to observe a place. He also had an entire universe built within him which was maintained by the living creatures that inhabited the body. On Mata Nui, Nuparu invented the Boxers, robots suits which Matoran could use to defend themselves.

Robots are commonly used by the Brotherhood of Makuta members detailed in the above story. Burtok has made two elemental Vahki he called the Vahki Ultima, as well as Rahkshi outfitted with robot brains and Pneuma-Toa androids. These robots were all capable of speech, but did not often speak unless spoken to, but occasionally cried out in response to taking damage. The Vahki Ultima were destroyed, and the Pneuma-Toa were disbanded after Burtok's defeat.
The Brotherhood also created the DASTRO Series, which were multi-purpose androids used as artificial operatives with undying loyalty to the Brotherhood.
Abilities and Traits[]
Robots possess a wide arrange of weapons, going form in-built Kanoka Disk Launchers, to Cordak Blasters. Robots tend to be emotionless and uncaring and are solely devoted to their tasks and don't bother with anything else. Robots sometimes have their own unique defense systems which they can use to protect themselves without a tool.
Robots are sometimes programmed with unique mannerisms, such as crying out in "pain" and social skills. These cannot be classified as unique personalities, but it would be possible for a robot to have one if it were programmed to.

Robots wield a wide array of tools and weapons many specificly given to them for their tasks. Some include staffs, projectile weapons, swords and many more.
