If Verex is a half-beast wouldn't that mean he is hordika?(which is a cool idea). Plus why do you use kanohi instead glatorian helmets? From LhikanRULES95. That makes sence. plus it is kind of badass to use the mask of shadows

A Hordika is a being mutated by Hordika Venom. Verex was mutated in a different way.
And about the head, I think Toa Hydros just likes it. Besides, is there a black helmet which isn`t the face of a "real" Skrall? Using Kanohi just gives his MoCs more different looks.
Creator's Reply: Correct, Varaga, though his mutation is somewhat similar to a Hordika's in that it not only altered Verex's body, but also awakened his more primal intincts. As for his head, I chose the Mask of Shadows because it has a reptilian look to it, which was what I was looking for when I made Verex.

I wouldn't describe Verex as being close to a Hordika. Whilst the mutation is similar, and rather say he stands on the line between civilization and savagery, much like the Vorox. --Chicken Bond 20:38, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
