Wyrak are the species of the Dark Hunter Mimic.

History[]

The Wyrak were a species created by Mata Nui on the island of Bythrain. The species was a thriving culture until Bythrain was struck by a natural disaster and much of the population was killed. Only two remained, one of whom discovered he had powers of photographic reflexes. Shortly after this discovery, his companion disappeared and he joined the Dark Hunters under the name “Mimic” to find her. Unbeknownst to him, his companion was imprisoned in the dungeon beneath Odina.

The Broken Order Universe[]

In the Broken Order Universe, the Wyrak were created and brought into existence on Bythrain. Following the formation of the Kritor Alliance, King Kragator sent out several scouts to find a base for their organization. The most promising island appeared to be Bythrain, so Kragator moved the Kritors to the island, impressed the Wyrak, and built his fortress.

The Wyrak had mixed emotions to the Kritor invasion. Some, taken by the power the Kritor Alliance, accepted the Kritors impressment; others hated being forced into the military organization. As it stood, the Wyrak were one of the few groups ever actively forced to work in the Kritor Alliance. On the whole, the populace as a whole put up with being forced to work, with one exception.

Not long after the Karchari Incident (wherein the Dark Hunters with Makuta support repelled the Kritors), many Wyrak saw weakness on the part of the Kritors and rebelled, demanding exceptional treatment for their services and island. Kragator, seeing the uprising as a chance to reaffirm his power in the eyes of the universe, crushed the uprising quickly. Unfortunately, this uprising meant he had to further consolidate the power structure, and he was also too caught up with the Wyrak to handle the Hapol Conflict.

For the most part, the Wyrak Uprising ended the strife on the part of the Wyrak. While many of them retained their hatred of the Kritors, they cooperated.

Abilities and Traits[]

Although Wyrak don’t have natural powers of their own, “Mimic” discovered shortly after the disaster on Bythrain that he had photographic reflexes, where he could duplicate any physical feat. It is unknown how he came to develop these abilities or whether other Wyrak can unlock these abilities.

Known Wyrak[]

  • Mimic
  • Mimic's companion
  • Jeyatro
  • Kerosh

Social Structure and Interactions[]

Wyrak were perhaps the race most similar to the Matoran, valuing good, honoring the Great Spirit, and welcoming Toa when they came. Unlike the countless other races in the universe, the Wyrak tended to value good business and honorable behavior.
